Join us in congratulating *Ramya for her excellent performance at the School Zone Level Competitions held at Sholavaram Higher Secondary School, and being selected for an educational scholarship under NMS (National Merit Scholarship)!
Ramya represented her school, Panchayat Union Middle School, in the 8th Standard Competitions, and was one among 500 participants from 32 other schools.
The competition involved a written exam that tested the students’ academic excellence in all subjects. Those selected were awarded an educational scholarship of Rs.1500/month up to 12th Standard, pending government rules and scheme continuity.
Ramya’s achievement is a great encouragement to other children. She and her sister, Malliga, lost both their parents at an early age and have been part of Inter-Mission India’s Children’s Home in Alamathi since 2013.

Doctors said Santosh wouldn’t survive. At the age of 7, he had developed blood clots all over his body. Even after surgery, the clots returned and spread close to his brain. Santhosh’s single mother, struggling to feed her 3 boys doing housework, could have lost her youngest son. But living in an Inter-Mission Boy’s Home at the time saved Santhosh’s life.
